Modification - 4-29SS

Contributed by Michael Stevens

Manufacturer: Modification

Camera PicBrief:
I wanted t' make it taller with a huge payload section.

Modifications:
Well I built it followin' t' instructions carefully. Then I sliced t' BT in half. T' lower section stayed on t' booster but t' upper be shot so I replace it with a packin' tube. Ahoy! Avast! This is where I got t' extra height. Blimey! Avast! I couldn't order a bulkhead coupler assembly so I just sliced t' one off t' nose cone (leave at least 1 inch on t' nose cone. Blimey! T' secure t' nose cone I use sheet metal screws. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! T' secure t' coupler piece I used CA and screws. Ya scallywag! These screws will be used later t' attach me recovery harness that will situate t' BT horizontal so t' camera can take pictures o' t' ground.

Swivel

Another modification was t' plugs that t' instructions tell you t' make. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I attached screw deadlights t' t' plugs hammered them in epoxied them then attached t' shock cord t' t' screw eyes. Arrr! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! T' shock cord is now equipped with swivels/quick releases

Construction:
Well it took a long time t' finish it because me paint went bad a couple times and spider webbed. Blimey! This is a paint problem nay a manufacturer problem. Blimey! Ya scallywag! I'm goin' t' stencil on NOVAIR (my logo) on t' BT.

Flight:
Maiden voyage July 24th under 2 Aerotech G40-7wl.

Summary:
I like it a lot. Well, blow me down! If I get around t' launchin' it again it will be under 4 G80-10 with an estimated Alt with camera payload 5,000 feet

I learned a lot because it's me first midpower rocket
