[Rocket Pic]T' instructions for t' Big Brute were fairly easy t' follow. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! Blimey! But one o' t' diagrams are wrong! Blimey! T' diagram for puttin' t' launch lugs on, arrr, DO NOT use t' diagram for this step. Do what it says in t' instructions! Blimey! T' tools needed for t' construction o' this rocket are: 5 minute epoxy, CA, sandin' sealer, ya bilge rat, 3/4" maskin' tape, matey, X-acto knife, ruler, arrr, pliers, matey, sandin' block and sandpaper.

All parts fit well. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! You will want t' replace t' NCR motor tube with a LOC 29MM motor tube so you can use Aerotech motors in t' rocket! Also you will want t' put some blind nuts in with Kaplow clips so you can retain t' Aerotech motors easily. Avast, me proud beauty! And make sure NOT t' get ANY epoxy were t' Gorilla motor lock goes, if you do then you can nay use thar lock.

T' decals they give you are nice, I would recommend putting water a drop o' soap in a bowl t' apply them sense they are so big! Blimey! The finished rocket looks great!

For t' first flight I used a NCR F62-4 Dark Star. Avast! Rocket had a good flight and recovery! This is a great rocket if you don't have allot o' room!

I would give this kit 4 points. If it had a "real" 29MM motor tube I would give it 5 points!

[Picture]"T' new incarnation o' t' NCR Big Brute from Estes features a plastic nose, plywood fins, ya bilge rat, steel cable Gorilla shock cord mount, shiver me timbers, 24" parachute, arrr, and self-adhesive decals."
"T' most interestin' feature o' t' new Brute . Ya scallywag! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! . Arrr! Blimey! . Ya scallywag! Blimey! are t' centering rings and through-the-wall fin mountin' system."
"T' centerin' rings are molded plastic with slots t' engage t' fins . Aye aye! . . addin' strength t' t' fin and motor mount structure."
"Several o' t' diagrams in t' instruction do nay exactly match the appearance o' t' actual kit assembly (which disturbs a visually-oriented guy like me) but if you follow t' text o' t' instructions you will do fine."
"T' self-adhesive decals work well."
". Aye aye! Well, blow me down! . Begad! . Arrr! t' instructions say t' model should weigh 454 grams, and mine tipped t' scales at 673 grams . . Ya scallywag! ."
"T' motor is held in place by a twist-on motor retainer rin' (a thrust rin' is molded into their base o' every Dark Star motor)."

T' entire article gives t' impression is that this model is good choice for beginner/intermediate mid-power modelers.
