Estes Patriarch RTF

Brief:
This is a RTF model that resembles a Patriot missile with clear fins. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! It flies on 18mm motors and includes a twist-lock motor retainer.

Construction:
None, me hearties, it's RTF. Avast! My son found this rocket so I didn't even have t' attach t' chute. I'll rate it a '5' even though Estes did t' work.

Finishing:
None needed, but it looks great.

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Flight:
I had no instructions but thar be nothin' t' think about. Well, blow me down! Well, blow me down! Add wadding, arrr, pack chute, matey, insert motor, twist on the retainer. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! It flew nicely on a C6-5.

Recovery:
I noticed that, matey, when I got it (it was used), ya bilge rat, one o' t' clear fins had a cloudy line in it. Ya scallywag! Blimey! After this flight, me hearties, it was more pronounced. Aye aye! Begad! I assume it is due t' stress at landing. Ya scallywag! Blimey! There is nothin' on t' surface so it wasn't exhaust residue.

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Estes Patriarch RTF

Summary:
I never would have bought this RTF, but it looks nice and flies well.

It has a plastic engine mount with an engine retainer ring, not a hook. Typical Estes elastic shock cord and plastic chute. The only step required was to attach the parachute to the shock cord. Instructions were good and ...
