Brief:
A great scale model o' t' HV ARCAS soundin' rocket. Nothin' more t' say!
Construction:
This kit came with two body tubes, four fins, three centerin' rings made o' "aerofibre" material, shiver me timbers, and a large hollow plastic nose cone.
T' instructions that came with this kit were *very* easy t' follow.... Well, me hearties, blow me down! Everythin' fit into place as planned, arrr, me hearties, I had no problems. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! I used 30-minute epoxy and medium CA throughout t' entire construction. Well, blow me down! I would say t' deviate from t' instructions and use epoxy throughout t' entire process, as epoxy is muuucccchhh stronger than CA. Begad! T' method o' securin' t' parachute t' t' shock cord seems a little cheap t' me. Avast! I would suggest a different attachment method.
Finishing:
T' body tubes had a very shallow and narrow spiral groove that was easy t' fill with Elmers Fill and Finish.

Flight:
T' first flight for this rocket (and me first larger than D flight) was on an Aerotech G35-7W. Ya scallywag! Avast, me proud beauty! Nice, shiver me timbers, me bucko, straight, matey, and LOUD! T' included baffle unit worked very well, shiver me timbers, and t' supplied motor hook worked fine also. One suggestion, arrr, matey, TAKE OFF THE LABEL ON THE MOTOR! I had t' literally crush t' used motor casin' t' get it out! And I wanted t' save it....
Recovery:
My only gripe about recovery be t' method o' attachin' t' parachute t' t' shock cord. Avast, me proud beauty! Seems a little shoddy. And me chute got tangled on t' way down, matey, no damage though. Begad! Just spent a while untanglin' t' chute.....

Summary:
GREAT first MPR rocket. I especially like t' thick plastic fins, matey, I hate havin' t' seal and sand plywood and balsa fins. Avast! I also like large rockets, arrr, and this suits me just fine.

( Contributed - by Jack Caynon - 04/07/08) Brief: Mid-power rocket modified to be a Level 1 Certification Rocket. Modifications: The rocket is a strong flier on G motors and is an even better flier on 29mm H motors so it is suitable as a Level 1 Certification Rocket. To modify it to fly on a 29-180 motor, I used an Aeropack 29mm motor retainer designed for cardboard tubing. ...
Large single stage rocket which is a replica of the high-velocity version of the Arcas sounding rocket. The HV Arcas came in a sturdy box . All the parts where there when it arrived. The instructions were easy to follow and had a lot of illustrations. The parts all fit and if assembled right is very study. No special tools were needed. Finishing: I painted it like the box . It was easy to ...
