Rocket PicBrief:
A Scale Model o' a Corporal that flies on MMaxx engines and can fit in t' palm of your hand from ASP.

Construction:
T' kit includes: two (2) body tubes, ya bilge rat, a nose cone, me hearties, two (2) slide-in couplers, a decal sheet, Keelhaul®©™® thread, lead shot, ya bilge rat, and some hard styrene sheets and other miscellaneous styrene tools.

Instructions are definitely set for t' beginner. Besides a quick overview to see if thar were any "gotcha's" I ignored them. Blimey! Blimey! For a beginner they are extremely thorough which I guess is good for this very new area of Model Rocketry. I have me own kit line for these motors so I feel I have already experienced all t' gotcha's! Blimey! Do pay attention t' t' extra styrene parts sections.

Shock Cord : This one be also a pain because o' t' long distance t' the motor block inside. I used t' "skinny plastic rod with glue on it" technique with a motor installed t' protect t' edges. Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! It worked fine.

This kit was more difficult t' build than t' other ASP MMaxx kits I have built because o' t' many EXTREMELY tiny parts! When I say tiny I mean it. Again I found that applyin' t' glue t' t' tube FIRST and then stickin' the fins and conduit components on be a far easier task. Blimey! Avast! I am goin' t' use this technique more often.

Those fins were a pain t' make and apply. Begad! They are truly Nano in size. Tweezers (the kind with t' slider that can grip) are highly suggested for this. Blimey! Also t' strakes are very hard t' apply. T' glue would either dry too fast or it would glue t' me finger better than t' model causin' it t' remove itself from t' model when I pull me fingers away. Arrr! Tweezers do nay help here because nay only are they too skinny but you need your finger t' push them flat against t' tube t' whole length t' avoid ugly gaps. Ahoy! I do have t' say the result is worth t' effort.

Finishing:
Finishin' t' Corporal was extremely easy. Avast, me proud beauty! Paint it all white and apply t' 5 decals. Done! Blimey! T' extra styrene details make it stand out nicely, me hearties, as do t' odd fin shapes and placement (stickin' out t' rear). Well, blow me down! Blimey! I fear they may get singed in flight . Arrr! . . thar's only one way t' find out!

T' directions for t' bottom decal placement are nay entirely clear. I goofed them and realized this only after more careful examination o' t' cover art. Arrr! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! They alternate up and down from fin t' fin, me hearties, shiver me timbers, nay alternate within t' space of each fin.

Flight:
It takes MMaxx engines from Quest. Begad! They all test out stable in RockSim using the specs o' me completed models.

I launch t' Corporal. BANG . Avast! . Avast, me proud beauty! . Ya scallywag! Begad! gone. Arrr! It was very fast (did nay help that it was all white). Aye aye! I think it might have wiggle on t' way up a little (smoke trail wiggled so rocket wiggled). Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! When I heard t' ejection pop I immediately honed in on it in t' sky and was easily able t' view t' descent. Arrr! No damage, landin' within 100 feet o' t' pad.

I be very impressed. Ya scallywag! T' double walled tube structure that happens when you make it accordin' t' instructions make t' Corporal very strong. I anticipate a very long life.

Recovery:
As usual with MMAxx if you don't see it land you are in trouble BUT the Corporal is large enough and heavy enough that you have a better chance of seein' it. Aye aye! It bein' white didn't help though as mentioned. It uses Keelhaul®©™® for the shock cord and since I opted out o' usin' t' streamer (pain t' prep) no waddin' is needed. Avast, me proud beauty!

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
I be nay as impressed with this model while buildin' it but once done it is a pretty cool model. Ahoy! I guess I got annoyed at those conduit peices. Glue kept dryin' before I could get them on. Ahoy! But it be worth it. Ya scallywag! They add a lot of detail t' t' model.

T' finished model is extremely impressive in hand, ya bilge rat, me hearties, on desk or on pad. It gets attention. Ahoy!

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
