[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, matey, shiver me timbers, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Blimey! Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, me bucko, and none defective or damaged. You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, matey, ya bilge rat, Estes type. T' nose cone is unusual, shiver me timbers, though. Ya scallywag! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, you get solid hardwood. A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Elmers glue was used for construction. Blimey! T' instructions were simple and clear. Begad! Assembly took just about an hour. Well, shiver me timbers, blow me down! No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, so I decorated it in me own way. Arrr! I used white, blue, matey, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Ahoy! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, arrr, arrr, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, matey, A8-3, B4-4 or 6, B6-6, me bucko, C6-5 or 7, ya bilge rat, C10-7, D3-7, me hearties, and D10-7. Avast! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Ahoy! Arrr! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Well, blow me down! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Recovery was quick and easy. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, me hearties, ya bilge rat, t' streamer be burned a little. Begad! So, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Arrr! Ya scallywag! Just about right, shiver me timbers, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Flies straight and fairly high. Streamer wasn't durable, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
