Aero Pack Quick Change AdapterBrief:
RMS motor mount adapters.

Construction:
T' Quick-Change Motor Adapter is another great product line from t' folks who brought you t' Quick-Change Motor Retainer. Aye aye! T' adapter allows you t' use a smaller-in-diameter motor casin' inside a larger-in-diameter motor mount tube in conjunction with Aero Pack's Quick-Change Motor Retainer system. So you can use a 29mm motor in a 38mm motor mount tube or a 38mm motor in a 54mm motor mount tube, matey, shiver me timbers, dependin' on t' size o' your Quick-Change Motor Retainer.

After placin' an order for t' adapter on www.aeropack.net, arrr, you'll receive t' product in a priority mail box. In me experience with Aero Pack, shipment is fast and its service is wonderful. When you open t' box, ya bilge rat, you'll find t' adapter in a zip-lock plastic bag. Ya scallywag! It's already assembled for you and ready t' use. It comes in two pieces machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. Arrr! T' large tube, arrr, o' course, holds your motor casing, while t' small rin' is placed inside your Aero Pack Motor Retainer Cap t' insure that t' motor is properly aligned. Simply slide t' adapter with your motor inside t' rocket's motor mount tube, me hearties, place t' rin' inside your motor retainer cap and screw t' retainer cap onto t' retainer. Begad! You'll find that t' motor is retained securely without any friction fittin' and t' motor will nay slide either forward or backward. Ahoy! Aye aye! On those occasions where you'll use single use motors, matey, you will need t' form a engine block rin' over t' aft end o' t' motor with some maskin' tape t' keep t' motor from slidin' forward.

Aero Pack Quick Change Adapter

Construction is exemplary and t' product works like a charm. Aye aye! I've used t' adapters with both Aero Pack retainers and Giant Leap Slimline retainers and they work fine. Avast, me proud beauty! They come in two sizes, arrr, t' A2938 and t' A3854. T' adapters that are used for adaptin' a 54mm motor t' a 75mm tube or a 75mm motor t' a 98mm tube are different in form and will be covered in a separate review t' reflect that difference.

Finishing:
T' units are flat black aluminum and hold up well t' use in t' field.

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
This is a great product that makes life so simple you almost forget it's there...until it's gone. Then you make certain that never happens again and order a replacement as fast as you can! I highly recommend these motor adapters t' anyone who uses Aero Pack or Slimline retainers.

I absolutely agree--the Aero Pack motor adapters are one of the slickest rocketry items I've ever used. In fact I'm equally impressed with the Aero Pack motor retainers. My only complaint is that I wish that they cost less.
