T' instructions for t' HV ARCAS are ok. Aye aye! They have made improvements/changes in t' kit but have nay fixed t' directions, so they leave you t' figure out how t' put some things together. Avast! They give you diagrams for nearly all o' t' steps on t' kit. Aye aye! T' tools needed are: 30 and 5 minute epoxy's, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, CA, sandpaper, ruler, shiver me timbers, sandin' sealer, me hearties, pencil, ya bilge rat, X-acto knife, blind nuts and 2-3 quick links.
All t' parts fit well without any sanding. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! But I modified mine for altimeter ejection. Well, blow me down! Begad! So I glued t' 11" section t' t' booster section (they give you 2 34" sections and 1 11" section). Arrr! Then I used the coupler for t' 34" payload section for t' altimeter bay! And they give you a ACE cone, matey, this REALLY needs t' be replaced with a PML 4" nose cone!
T' rocket looks GREAT when done! Blimey! They do give you decals for t' rocket and tell you where/what color paint t' use on t' rocket.
T' first flight o' me ARCAS was on a Kosdon I420 FAST reload! Blimey! T' rocket REALLY left t' pad FAST! Blimey! T' at apogee t' altimeter fired the drogue (24"chute), me bucko, goin' good so far. Ahoy! Avast, matey, me proud beauty! Blimey! Then a 250 feet t' altimeter fired t' main and t' rocket be recovered with out any damage!
I would give t' ARCAS 4 points! Blimey! It would definitely get 5 points if they gave a PML nose cone and fix thar directions!!
