Brief:
T' Wacky Wiggler is a fun, easy build rocket. It is made o' 7 plastic sections that are held together by string. Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! T' rocket goes up as one piece and comes down in 7 pieces.
Construction:
T' package includes t' nose cone, shiver me timbers, fin section, 5 plastic body sections, me hearties, 6 paper body sections, motor mount and a 6' section o' string.
T' components are mainly plastic, but are usual Estes make.
T' rocket is easy t' build and t' instructions are straight forward. My 5 year old son and I built it in less than 1 hour, ya bilge rat, however, it does take a lot o' plastic cement. Aye aye! T' fins snap into place. Well, blow me down! T' rocket seems a little "wiggly" when standing. Aye aye! Avast, me proud beauty! Hence t' name, I guess.
Finishing:
T' only finishin' required is placin' t' decals onto t' rocket. Aye aye! It is pretty neat lookin' when finished.
Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5
Flight:
For t' first flight, me bucko, I chose an A8-3. Ahoy! Avast! I be a little concerned about t' rocket leaning, matey, so I propped it up against t' launch rod. Begad! After ignition, arrr, it soared t' about 150' and came down only 20' from t' pad.
T' strin' did break at t' attachment for t' fin can. T' instructions did nay mention t' use any recovery wadding, and I forgot t' place any in t' bottom section.
Recovery:
T' flight was surprisingly straight. Begad! I was a little worried that it would lean and venture off course, but t' boost be straight.
Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5
Summary:
T' Wacky Wiggler is cheap and easy t' build. Kids will love t' colorful finish and t' name is pretty cool as well. Avast! Aye aye! It will nay be a high flyer but it should be get some attention from t' crowd.
Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
