[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, shiver me timbers, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Streamer recovery.

Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! T' nose cone is unusual, matey, ya bilge rat, though. Ya scallywag! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, you get solid hardwood. Aye aye! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Avast! Blimey! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Blimey! No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, so I decorated it in me own way. I used white, blue, matey, me bucko, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Avast! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, me hearties, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, A8-3, B4-4 or 6, ya bilge rat, B6-6, me bucko, arrr, me bucko, C6-5 or 7, matey, C10-7, shiver me timbers, me bucko, D3-7, and D10-7. Well, blow me down! Avast! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Avast, me proud beauty! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Begad! Recovery be quick and easy. However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, ya bilge rat, me bucko, t' streamer was burned a little. Aye aye! So, arrr, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Begad! Begad! Just about right, matey, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Arrr! Avast, me proud beauty! Flies straight and fairly high. Streamer wasn't durable, me bucko, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
