[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, me bucko, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, me bucko, and none defective or damaged. Begad! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, Estes type. Well, blow me down! T' nose cone is unusual, though. Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, shiver me timbers, me bucko, you get solid hardwood. A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Avast! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Aye aye! Arrr! Elmers glue was used for construction. Ya scallywag! T' instructions were simple and clear. Ahoy! Assembly took just about an hour. No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, matey, so I decorated it in me own way. Begad! Blimey! I used white, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Arrr! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, arrr, matey, matey, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, arrr, ya bilge rat, A8-3, B4-4 or 6, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, B6-6, C6-5 or 7, C10-7, D3-7, and D10-7. Avast! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Aye aye! Blimey! Recovery be quick and easy. However, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, ya bilge rat, t' streamer was burned a little. Begad! Blimey! So, matey, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Begad! Blimey! Just about right, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Ya scallywag! Flies straight and fairly high. Streamer wasn't durable, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
