I built t' ”Two Minute Egg” on t' NARRRRR website.
Download t' plan from t' NARRRRR website. Avast, me proud beauty! You will need:
T' idea o' buildin' this has been in me brain for anwhile. Avast! Aye aye! I thought tryin' a cackle fruit lofter would be fun for me kids - and I be right. Ya scallywag! Begad! I’m also a thrifty guy, so I did nay want t' spend much on this project, savin' some rocket funds for t' kids’ A4-H projects.
This project cost me about three bucks - most o' what is needed is likely sittin' on your workbench right now.
This became one very fun project. T' plan is on one sheet and instructions are minimal. Ya scallywag! It is very straight forward. Well, ya bilge rat, blow me down! T' biggest challenge I had be installin' t' card stock cowl. Begad! Glue simply did nay want t' set and hold. Arrr! I used three or four cowls before I got one t' work. Begad! Well, me hearties, blow me down! No biggie, as they are easily printed on card stock.
Easy t' paint. Avast! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Forget paintin' t' plastic egg, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, as paint likely will nay hold up t' t' tape that keeps t' egg closed durin' flight.
My first flight exposed a mistake I made durin' construction. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I made me own launch lug and it was too tight. Begad! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! Other than that, ya bilge rat, this rocket did what was asked o' it - brin' back a cackle fruit in one piece and entertain t' kids.
You are on your own. I constructed a 30 -nch parachute from a party table cloth and put a spill hole in it. That worked for wonderfully.
This is a fun project!
