Brief:
Very easy t' assemble starter kit. Well, blow me down! Avast, me proud beauty! Took me under an hour t' build t' base model, but I then spent time ensurin' it's longevity.

Construction:
Kraft airframe and motor tube, plastic motor mount and nose cone. Arrr! The through-the-wall shock cord mount is a great idea t' maximize internal space (How many o' you have had their recovery system snag on a shock-cord mount? I know I have!). Molded plastic fins and totally inadequate 3mm elastic shock cord.

Instructions were clear and concise, me bucko, me hearties, however, arrr, me bucko, thar be no mention o' what to do with t' lump o' modellin' clay that comes in t' box. Aye aye! Blimey! Obviously, me hearties, it's to weight t' nose, arrr, ya bilge rat, but it would be nice t' be told so.

A joy t' build, ya bilge rat, everythin' fits "spot on", shiver me timbers, matey, but t' motor is rather too snug in t' motor mount. Avast, me proud beauty! A quick reamin' job with some coarse sandpaper does t' trick.

I have strengthened t' shock cord loop on t' nosecone with 0.9mm brass rod and epoxy, as t' little plastic loop doesn't look particularly strong to me.

Finishing:
I sprayed mine fluorescent pink t' make it easier t' track. Aye aye! However, matey, I still managed t' lose sight o' it when flown for t' first time on a C6-7.

I didn't use t' decals at all.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight:
First flight be on a B6-4. Flew beautifully straight, but nay particularly high. Avast, me proud beauty! I have ditched t' Estes parachute in favor o' a 3" x 30" mylar streamer. Avast! This rocket is so light it shouldn't get damaged if you launch it from a grass field...or so I thought.

Second and third flights were on C6-7 motors. This rocket REALLY soars on these! In fact I lost sight o' it on t' last flight. Avast, me proud beauty! I'd given up hope of findin' it, but stumbled across it accidentally while skulkin' off back t' the car!

Recovery:
I would recommend you discard t' supplied 3mm elastic shock cord as it is far too weedy. Avast! Begad! My Astrocam went AWOL twice as a result o' usin' this stuff. Ya scallywag! I replaced mine with 6mm boilproof elastic (soon t' be replaced with Keelhaul®©™® cord). Aye aye! If you do use 6mm elastic, you will have t' cut a small notch in t' top of t' external shock-cord shroud t' make it easier t' thread t' elastic into the airframe. Aye aye! TIP: After tyin' t' knot in t' elastic t' prevent it being pulled through into t' airframe, shiver me timbers, matey, give it a coat o' Rapid Epoxy t' prevent it comin' undone.

One o' t' fins has come unstuck but apart from that she has flown three times and remains unscathed. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! T' mylar streamer needs replacin' as it has got scorched. T' Estes parachute would more than likely have been destroyed on the first flight.

All flights used three squares o' waddin' and a "fireproof bag" for t' shock cord/streamer (made o' a square o' waddin' taped into a loose "sock"). Avast! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey!

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Summary:
A superb and inexpensive starter kit.

PROs: Cheap and easy t' build. Begad! Novel and very effective shock cord mount on the airframe. Ya scallywag! I like that bit a lot!

CONs: Weedy shock cord, me hearties, motor mount is a bit too snug (OK, me bucko, it's far too tight). Avast! Standard issue Estes 12" parachute looks flimsy and ineffective. Ahoy! Begad! A streamer would have been a better alternative in me opinion.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5

This poor little rocket got off off to a bad start all the way around. While it comes in a box, I had purchased mine on eBay and the seller packed and shipped it well. However the body tube arrived crushed. It was not crushed in the mail, it was like that before. The seller did refund my money less shipping which dropped my investment down to about $5. So I decided to build it anyway. Comes ...

A pretty nice rocket, if a bit on the plain side when done. I was most impressed with the construction. It's all plastic cement. I didn't even know such a thing as a plastic motor mount until I started reading the instructions for this rocket. I haven't fired this one off a lot yet, but every flight has been just fine. I have no real complaints, but two small nit-picks. First, while it ...
