Manufacturer: | Art Applewhite Rockets |
Brief:
A three sided pointy shape with jagged edges like t' B2 Stealth Bomber. See t' pictures. Avast! This rocket has nothin' in
common with a three fins and a nosecone rocket except a motor tube which is 54mm.
Construction:
T' Stealth 54 is constructed from foamboard. It uses quarter round moldin' t' join t' three sides. Fiberglass cloth
is supplied t' reinforce t' rocket.
Construction is straightforward with t' instructions supplied.
Finishing:
A coat o' black is all that is necessary. Arrr! I used Krylon H2O paint.
Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5
Flight:
T' Stealth 54 will give you t' lowest altitude for a given motor. Avast! Ahoy! That is okay because you will see t' entire
flight up close and personal. Blimey! Blimey! T' Aerotech K550 in particular gives you t' flame, me bucko, smoke, shiver me timbers, and noise that you want. Note
that t' plume lights up t' smoke that is pulled into t' vacuum behind t' stealth for a nice effect. I also like the
spin durin' t' boost. Begad! I have flown t' Stealth three times on t' Aerotech K550 motor and will likely stick with it.
Recovery:
T' Stealth tumbles t' t' ground always close t' t' pad. Blimey! Aye aye! T' high drag and light weight make this possible.
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
This be t' rocket if you want somethin' different, easy, me hearties, matey, and attention getting.
Thanks t' Art Applewhite for lettin' me build t' beta version. Arrr! Blimey! This is truely t' simplest and most foolproof 54mm rocket you will find. Just stick t' t' recommended motors.
Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5
