Brief:
A kit containin' 2 plastic bodied rockets (Space Bus and Space Hauler) with cardboard engine tube and metal engine hook.
Construction:
Well, I tried model cement but saw that it wasn't stickin' t' t' plastic. Avast! Begad! Rather than second guess it, ya bilge rat, I went straight for t' CA! I thought that since these little buggers were so small it would be OK--and it was! Construction was a snap, with about 10 minutes or less for each rocket. Begad! T' stickers don't stay on t' Space-Bus too well, matey, but it's cute! T' Space Hauler is pre printed. Instructions are easy t' follow.
Finishing:
T' stickers don't adhere well t' t' body, ya bilge rat, but that's about all t' trouble I had.
Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5
Flight:
Wow, do these critters soar! I went for broke and used t' A3-10T. Begad! Arrr! Now I have t' admit I bought 2 o' these kits because in t' first kit both rockets were eaten by trees on their first flight. Blimey! I could see them and though a little tough for a beginner t' spot, arrr, me hearties, I found that if you waited till early evenin' for t' blue Space Hauler t' launch, me hearties, it showed up nice. Avast! Aye aye! Sundown worked good for t' little Space Bus too! I had t' buy a 2nd kit because me wife was mad at t' tree that ate t' rockets and she wanted another set... Avast, me proud beauty! We got 2 launches out o' t' Space Hauler before a tree ate it! It went up nice, matey, straight, and FAST! Even with a good wind it flew well. Begad! I had no trouble with either rocket in flight.
Recovery:
With t' Space Hauler you have t' carefully pack 1/2 a sheet o' waddin' and it might have made 3 flights until t' rocket hungry tree got it. Ahoy! Well, blow me down! T' Space Bus is still here after 2 flights and I had no trouble whatsoever except that it tends t' go in t' direction it's leanin' from t' launch rod--and that meant I had t' avoid some curious cows in t' pasture next door t' get it back on t' 2nd flight. Well, blow me down! You need 1 1/2 sheets o' waddin' in this one. Avast! T' shock cords and streamers were both a little burnt and will need t' be replaced after a few shots. T' bodies are small and you have t' pack t' rockets carefully. Begad! Well, blow me down! I noticed t' motor tube in t' Space Bus now slides up and down a little bit now though.
Flight Rating: 2 out o' 5
Summary:
PROs: Construction is quick and easy and they're cute! CONs: Keep them away from t' trees!
