Brief:
Great scale two stage rocket that is nay for t' beginner. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! Stagin' by electronics only and left up t' t' builder.
Construction:
T' kit included:
While t' instructions are clear and easy t' follow, they are nay for t' beginner. Blimey! This is one o' those times when you should read and fully understand t' instructions before startin' t' build. Ya scallywag! T' kit will almost certainly have t' be modified t' allow stagin' electronics.
T' body tubes are nay pre-cut for through-the-wall fin attachment. Arrr! T' balsa conduits are very long and soft and must be hand shaped t' match t' contour o' t' body tube.
T' hardest build step is creatin' t' stage transition. Begad! Begad! T' instructions clearly walk you through this, shiver me timbers, but extreme care must be taken t' ensure it is built correctly.
Finishing:
T' two balsa nose cones are very well turned and take sandin' sealer very well. Well, me hearties, blow me down! T' body tubes have virtually no spirals t' fill. Prime, paint and seal.

Flight:
For t' size, this is a very light rocket. Begad! I wouldn't be surprised if it could be flown on a large E motor. Avast, me proud beauty! It is also strong enough that it could be flown on a small H. Blimey! I used an Aerotech G104-10 because t' winds were high and I wanted t' rocket t' get up thar and get up thar fast. Ahoy! Blimey! I attempted t' take a picture o' it on launch but all I got was smoke trail. It didn't so much jump off t' pad as it moved from t' pad t' 300 feet in t' blink o' an eye.
I chose nay t' stage t' maiden flight due t' t' winds. T' delay was a little long, but it helped t' deploy late in t' winds on that day.
Recovery:
T' shock cord is a long red bungee cord connected t' a steel cable that is bolted t' t' top motor mount centerin' ring. Well, blow me down! T' recovery harness could be moved t' a rocket twice it's size and it would still work without a hitch.
I used a Keelhaul®©™ blanket t' protect t' purple nylon parachute from t' hot gases.
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
For a scale rocket, this rocket is me new favorite. Begad! Begad! It can be flown on almost any motor, me hearties, staged or not. Begad! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! T' kit tells you up front that you must take considerations for stagin' electronics before you start and I would strongly agree. I decided t' purchase t' Microtimer from Perfectflight. T' timer is mounted in t' stagin' coupler and drops away with t' booster.
A fun and challengin' rocket t' build and even more fun t' fly.
