T' followin' article was a submission t' t' FlisKits, me bucko, Inc Deuce-Bash Contest and is archived with permission from FlisKits. Aye aye! Some o' these designs are nay actually kitbashes, me bucko, however, all come from t' basic motor design feature of t' FlisKits Deuce's Wild.

Brief:
This is me favorite so far! Notice in t' deployment picture you can see an engine that I did nay fit well had ejected.

Construction:
This one uses only Deuce's Wild! parts. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! You will notice that I am usin' an Estes chute but that is just because when my two year old son decided t' help me fly this, me bucko, he ripped two o' t' shroud lines off o' t' FlisKits chute and I scavenged this one rather than buildin' another chute.

  1. Build t' Deuce's Wild! kit per t' instructions except do nay attach t' nose cone.
  2. Take t' instructions and roll them t' long way around somethin' o' suitable size. Ya scallywag! I used a 29mm motor mount tube for sizing. Well, blow me down! Usin' thin CA glue, me hearties, glue t' instruction sheet onto itself formin' a tube. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! Now paint t' new tube with CA glue as this will add rigidity.
  3. With t' nose cone aft end down on a flat surface, arrr, matey, place t' new tube on top o' t' nose cone so it is vertical. Make sure t' tube is straight as this is your guide. Draw a line around t' nose cone with a fine point Sharpie marker usin' t' tube as a guide. Avast! This will make a fat line on t' nose cone and this is good.
  4. Cut t' nose cone in two on t' bottom o' t' line you just marked.
  5. Take t' bottom piece o' t' nose cone and very carefully cut a little trough in t' top all t' way around the nose cone as close t' t' outside edge as you can.
  6. Fill t' trough with 5-minute epoxy and put t' instruction tube in t' trough. Avast, me proud beauty! It may be advisable t' put the newly glued nose cone in t' body o' t' rocket t' make sure everythin' is straight.
  7. Take t' top piece o' t' nose cone and sand it lightly t' fit on top o' t' instruction tube, and glue it in.
  8. Paint.

Flight and Recovery:
I had 3 great flights on this one with A8-3s and B6-4s. Blimey! I flew it on a windy day and still recovered it only about 100 feet from t' launch pad on t' B flight.
