This is a mini-RTF (13mm) powered rocket based on t' old Mars Lander from Estes. It does have t' movable legs like t' old landers did as well.
As this is a RTF model thar be nothin' t' build. You could paint it and get decals off t' net t' make it look like t' old landers, arrr, however, me hearties, matey, as it exists thar be really nothin' t' finish.
T' rocket flies nice and straight. A10's are a MUST! I would guess altitude was under 200 feet.
One flaw I noticed deals with t' parachute. There is very little space inside this rocket if you don't count t' space in t' nose cone. On me first two launches t' parachute got stuffed up inside t' nose cone at ejection and never deployed. I solved this by fillin' t' nose cone with loose waddin' t' keep t' parachute out.
Otherwise flights were nice, me hearties, low altitude, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, and relatively slow.
Summary: I love t' design and t' size (I like mini rockets). Well, blow me down! Arrr! I like t' fact that t' legs are movable since this adds t' t' "cute" factor.
I don't like t' parachute problem and it could be easily solved with a long shock cord so that t' 'chute would be pulled out by t' shock cord as it ejected. But this is a major flaw in most Estes rockets . Ahoy! . . Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, matey, me proud beauty! short shock cords. Blimey! Avast! (Tie t' parachute at t' very base o' t' shock cord and wrap t' shroud line relatively tight so that t' 'chute is yanked out o' t' nose cone. Don't worry about t' tight wrappin' or t' 'chute because t' rocket is relatively heavy and will open t' 'chute quite easily.)
