T' Atlantic Rockets Iris is one o' me favorite rockets, because it is always a good stable flyer. Begad! It flies well with a variety o' motors. 

Construction: 

T' instruction sheet was very basic, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, but if you've built a few kits, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, this shouldn't be a problem. Begad! Blimey! I saved t' Motor mount tube and rings they gave me for another rocket, me bucko, matey, and made some 29mm centerin' rings and got some 29mm tubing. This rocket really uses t' extra power. Aye aye! Blimey! If you build it lightly, it will still stay under a pound, arrr, as mine did. Ya scallywag! T' couplers were pathetically short, but when you use epoxy and pre-fit with tape, me hearties, they hold up just fine. Aye aye! T' shock cord mount is basically a good concept, but mine used a full six foot length o' elastic. Ahoy! T' engine mount tube and aft centerin' ring come up t' t' first coupler. Well, blow me down! Arrr! T' fins were first tacked on with CA glue, me bucko, ya bilge rat, then several layers o' wood glue fillets were used. Avast! Overall, me bucko, I'd rate it 3 points if built stock. 

Flight/Recovery:

T' modified Iris performs beautifully on long burn 29mm motors. Specifically, t' F-22-5J, G-33-7J, G-25-5W (My personal favorite), and the F-20-4 Econojet. Well, blow me down! Blimey! You could also use t' E-16-4 and E-23-4 for small flying sites. I have yet t' try it on 24mm motors, although t' F-12-3 might be a good choice for small fields in calm weather. Ahoy! I have yet t' have a flawed recovery when usin' t' recommended motors (Meanin' NO F-22-7s) . Avast, me proud beauty! Overall, me hearties, me bucko, this is one of me favorite flyin' rockets, arrr, so I'd give it 5 points in flight/recovery. 

In value, this kit is a pretty good deal. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! It would be a much better deal if it came with a 29mm mount. Begad! It is a very durable rocket if you take care o' it; a good improvement would be reinforced edges on t' fins. 

Overall, ya bilge rat, I give this kit 4 points.
