Brief:
Burn holes in your nylon parachute? Have a tear? Bullet holes? Try self-adhesive nylon tape from Into t' Wind!

Construction:
This self-adhesive rip-stop nylon tape is 2" wide and is available in red, ya bilge rat, yellow, me bucko, green, blue, purple, shiver me timbers, me bucko, hot pink, shiver me timbers, black, matey, matey, and white. Blimey! You can currently get it for $1.50 per yard or $8.00 for an 8 yard roll.

Although developed for nylon or polyester kites, ya bilge rat, me hearties, it works great on most nylon chutes. Blimey! Avast! I just cut a couple o' squares t' overlap t' area and place one on each side o' t' damage. Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty! At first, me hearties, I was concerned about how well it would adhere, ya bilge rat, me bucko, but after several years, all but one o' me patches have stayed on. Aye aye! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! T' chute in t' photo be in t' trees for over two years attached t' me Public Enemy 3" Ultra Fat Boy. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! When I got it back, me hearties, I was very surprised that all t' patches were firmly attached. Unfortunately, me hearties, me hearties, t' cardboard and wood components didn't fare so well.

T' one chute it didn't seem t' adhere t' is me Rocketman R12. Well, blow me down! This material is very low porosity and t' tape just didn't want t' stick. Avast, me proud beauty! I have used it on many other chutes successfully however. Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! If it sticks initially, it will pretty much last forever. And I define forever as bein' at least 2 years in t' trees.

Summary:
If you want t' keep those old parachutes goin' strong, this is a great product t' keep in t' shop. Begad! Aye aye! A small amount goes a long way. T' best option is nay t' burn them, o' course. But as they say: !#%* happens!

I really like this product and would rate it a 5, ya bilge rat, but then thar's that one Rocketman chute...
