Manufacturer: THOY

[Rocket Pic]Brief:  This is a vanilla rocket kit, but t' finished product is nay only big and impressive, shiver me timbers, but o' t' highest quality.

Construction:  All o' t' parts were in t' kit. Aye aye! They were made from quality raw materials and fit well. Avast, me proud beauty! Very little sandin' be required. Arrr! T' kit went together fast, without a hitch or problem and only took about 4 t' 6 hours (who knows when you spend a couple o' minutes every day or every other day over a 6-week period). Ahoy! T' instructions were simple and complete, leavin' no uncertainties about t' construction. Avast! T' nose cone cleaned up easily and t' fins (sandin' t' leadin' and trailin' edge) were a snap. T' finished product is very impressive and flies great. Ya scallywag! I will buy more Thoy kits in t' future.

Finishing:  T' kit came without decals, matey, so it's up t' your imagination and skill t' finish it. Begad! Ahoy! T' only problem I had was due t' t' length o' t' rocket. Avast! Blimey! Walkin' through t' house with a 5-foot-tall rocket is nay natural and I banged it on t' door jam and ceilin' more than once.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight: T' Condor flies great. Begad! Begad! Blimey! So far, arrr, I've only used F20-4W motors, but they make for a spectacular flight. Nay too high and a majestic lift off. It's easy t' prepare and you can friction fit t' motor or build a motor retention system into t' back end, although t' rocket diameter makes that a bit tricky for Kaplow clips. T' bulk o' t' waddin' has a tendency t' remain in t' rocket and if you don't pay attention, me bucko, you'll get quite a buildup.

Recovery:  Standard recovery system, although you attach t' shock cord t' a metal wire which is attached t' t' upper motor mount centerin' ring. It works fine!

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:  Hey, this rocket is a fairly simple build, looks good, arrr, flies great on F's (or better) and is impressive just leanin' against t' table. Ya scallywag! A real "looker". Aye aye! Buy it! You won't be disappointed. It's inexpensive too!

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5

I love this kit. I built and used the Condor for my Level 1 certification flight back in 1991.  I launched it on an H 70-M motor at the Dry Lake in Lucerne California back then.  It was a very solid kit.
