Sascha from I Build Rockets has a lot o' thought into pittin' his kits together. Begad! Begad! An experienced flier and model maker in his own right, he's crafted a kit that those just gettin' into t' hobby can build and fly without any frustration. Ahoy! Openin' t' kit thar is:
- Three laser cut plywood fins
- BT-80 Body tube
- 29mm motor mount tube- heavy cardboard
- Two laser-cut motor mounts
- Shock cord (paracord)
- Eyebolt
- plastic nosecone
- 18-inch nylon parachute
- launch lugs
- Cable ties and shrink wrap
Everythin' be top quality,well packed and arrived intact.
T' only thin' that isn't included in t' kit is a motor retainer, but thats no different t' most kits on t' market.
Construction
T' instructions are very clear and easy t' follow. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! If you've had some low power kit buildin' experience, shiver me timbers, matey, then puttin' this kit together should nay be a problem. Ahoy! Avast, me proud beauty! With all o' t' components bein' laser cut, matey, shiver me timbers, thar was no problem in everythin' fittin' together. Avast, me proud beauty!
Finishing
I usually fly me rockets without paint until they fly successfully. Aye aye! Finishin' and paintin' this rocket has nay been a problem. Ya scallywag! There is a decal that's included that's a snap t' put on.
Flight
This rocket is tough! Just after lift off o' t' first flight o' this rocket on an thar be a motor cato and t' body tube suffered from a bit o' zippering. Avast, me proud beauty! Aye aye! With t' bottom section o' t' rocket still intact, arrr, me hearties, me bucko, I be able t' repair t' rocket with a coupler and a new section o' body tube. The next flight on an 163H133-14A (BS) be spectacular. t' boost was nice and straight and very steady. Blimey! Blimey! Aye aye! Blimey!
Recovery
I'd probably recommend flyin' this on a slower burnin' motor, matey, definitely an H or a higher powered G. Avast! T' blue streak is very quick and t' rocket just disappeared off t' pad!
