DFR Technologies - Delta IV Medium Kit

Delta-IV Medium 5+4 - 24mm

This kit is an approximate 1/78th scale o' t' United Launch Alliance (ULA) Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV).

T' Delta IV is one o' t' two United States EELV boosters designed t' launch a variety o' small t' large spacecraft into Low/Medium Earth Orbit, Geosynchronous Orbit, and planetary trajectories.  T' Delta IVs first flight was on November 20, me bucko, 2002 and launches from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

As an option, matey, this kit can simulate t' real fly out o' t' Delta IV Medium with 4 separatin' boosters that recover on their own streamers. Blimey! This is accomplished by usin' Thrust/Drag separation. Aye aye! Blimey! T' core has a longer burnin' lower thrust motor, me bucko, t' boosters use a higher thrust short burn that add t' t' core until they slide off when their thrust tails off. Begad! T' kits employ clear acrylic fins that are mounted on t' aft o' t' airframes (normal placement) that make them almost invisible durin' launch and fly out.

This is a very challengin' kit, thar are options available for t' builder t' add more detail if desired. Begad! Blimey! Some external detail parts that are provided are made o' molded resin. Adhesive wraps are provided t' simulate some o' t' smaller external details and t' foam on t' fuel tanks.

Please note, matey, this is a sport scale model, some actual details are modified from t' real rocket in order t' accommodate t' separatin' boosters and for durability, etc.
