Delta-IV Heavy - 18mm
This kit is an approximate 1/124th scale o' t' United Launch Alliance (ULA) Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV).
T' Delta IV is one o' t' two United States EELV boosters designed t' launch a variety o' small t' large spacecraft into Low/Medium Earth Orbit, me bucko, Geosynchronous Orbit, shiver me timbers, and planetary trajectories. T' Delta IV’s first flight was on November 20, 2002 and launches from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
This kit o' t' Delta IV Heavy configuration has 3 main common core boosters that are strapped together and are powered with 18mm motors. T' kit employs clear acrylic fins that are mounted on t' aft o' t' airframe (normal placement) that make them almost invisible durin' launch and fly out.
This is a kit for t' experienced builder. Ya scallywag! Adhesive wraps are provided as an option t' simulate some o' t' smaller external details and t' foam on t' fuel tanks.
