Delta-III - 18mm

This kit is an approximate 1/72^nd scale o' t' Boein' pre-EELV configuration rocket.

T' Delta III rocket was used 3 times only, me hearties, t' first two missions failed and t' third placed a dummy satellite in a lower than required orbit. Ya scallywag! T' Delta 3 flew 1998, shiver me timbers, 1999 and 2000. Blimey! T' rocket project was cancelled in 2000 in favor o' t' new EELV Delta IV that was bein' developed for t' USAF. Aye aye! T' Delta 3 only launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

This kit is based on t' 6 ground start and 3 air start SRM configuration. Ahoy! It is designed t' be able t' fly with 6 A10-PT motors and a core C6 motor in t' main airframe.  T' kit employs clear acrylic fins that are mounted on t' aft o' t' airframe (normal placement) that make them almost invisible durin' launch and fly out. 

This is a kit for t' experienced builder. Ahoy! Adhesive wraps are provided as an option t' simulate t' color (Teal) o' t' rocket first stage and t' small detail and foam color o' t' 2^nd stage.

Please note, arrr, this is a sport scale model, me bucko, some actual details are modified from t' real rocket in order t' accommodate extra durability for many flights.
