IntruderBrief:
T' Intruder is one o' Estes' first RTF models. Begad! Ahoy! It is a conical piece o' foamed polystyrene with a motor mount. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Nice way t' burn motors. Ya scallywag! It flies low and slow.

Construction:
T' Intruder has no fins, only short 'legs' on t' rim o' t' polystyrene body cone. Arrr! Blimey! A single 13mm motor powers this beast.

No construction t' speak of. Avast! You can't use Krylon on this one because it eats t' plastic.

Finishing:
I left it plain white. Acrylic paints may work but you gotta test it first.

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Flight:
Flight is excellent, me hearties, shiver me timbers, just a nice, slow lift. Begad! Ya scallywag! Doesn't need much room t' fly (maybe 30-40 feet).

Recovery:
Recovery is just by drag. Ahoy! It's nice and light and floats down.

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
A nice, shiver me timbers, simple rocket.

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5

It is made almost totally from Styrofoam and is really ready to fly except for the paint job and stickers. The "kit" consists of a foam UFO, a cardboard motor tube, some stickers and an Estes safety sheet. There was going to be less to this "build" ...

Little cheap-o rocket I found at ACE in March 2005. The last recorded year it was made was in 1996. This things almost 10 years old! It's a fun rocket to play with in your own yard. The rocket consists of only 2 parts: a body tube and the styrofoam body. It also came with decals. Construction was completed in about 10 seconds! All you have to do is paint it and install the engine tube! ...
