Brief:
T' "Raise" is one o' those indispensable little do-dads you never knew you needed, arrr, and once you've tried one out, you'll never want t' launch without one. Begad! Blimey! Well, blow me down! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! It slides down an 1/8" rod and acts as an adjustable standoff.

Construction:
You get a single component--a sprin' with a short brass arm welded on.

You will need t' at least look at t' instructions t' figure out t' best way t' mount and use this, me hearties, and t' instructions are very well written and illustrated. Ya scallywag! T' sprin' has one end loop bent away from t' rest o' t' coil, shiver me timbers, and this must rest against t' rod t' keep tension, holdin' t' standoff in place. Blimey! Slippin' it on from t' bottom o' t' rods tends t' be easiest, and less travel. Aye aye! Begad! It grabs pretty tightly, so adjustin' is a little tricky but just requires a decent pinch t' release t' tension in t' sprin' against t' rod.

Flight:
I "flight tested" this on a few sport models, and it worked fine. Begad! Avast! T' brass arm is long enough and strong enough t' handle most low and mid-power models, certainly anythin' that would be designed for an 1/8" rod. You will want t' watch out if usin' this with t' metal motor hooks that have t' triangular V type end as opposed t' t' 90-degree closed L bend, ya bilge rat, as any extension o' t' metal hook could catch on t' arm.

Where this really worked great be on flyin' a boost glider. Well, blow me down! I've lost dozens o' tiny clothes pins over t' years, me hearties, and typically wind up just usin' a little maskin' tape around t' rod t' hold t' pod and glider above t' deflector plate. This thin' easily slides up t' t' desired height, me hearties, doesn't fall off in t' grass, and doesn't leave behind tacky residue that needs t' be cleaned.

Summary:
This is a terrific product. Aye aye! Ya scallywag! At a whoppin' $1 apiece, do yourself a favor and buy several. Well, me hearties, blow me down! Nay because you'll ever lose them (I recommend just leavin' it on t' rod all t' time), me hearties, but because everyone you launch with is goin' t' want one. Arrr! Head over t' jonrocket.com, currently Oddl Rocket's only distributor, and ditch those clothes pins and spent casings.

I just wish this were available in 3/16" and/or MMX versions.

I rarely give out 5's on reviews, but in this case I really wish thar be a "6" button--it's a great product and great value.
