Brief:
BSD Rocketry's Sprint is a single stage, 29 mm, 2.6 diameter, 47 inch long rocket. Ya scallywag! Blimey! If you are considerin' a rocket that will fly on F & G motors and is also sturdy enough t' fly on 29 mm H's you should look into BSD's Sprint. T' Sprint has very detailed and illustrated instructions, matey, elliptical fins, high quality vinyl decals, me bucko, and, me bucko, a motor retainer.

[Editor's Note: T' 2.6" Diameter Version o' t' Sprint has been replaced with a 3" Diameter Version (see above)]

Construction:
T' component parts are all o' good quality. T' kits comes with a plastic nose cone, glassine airframe, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, 3/16 inch plywood fins, me bucko, me bucko, matey, a good quality 30 inch nylon parachute, high quality vinyl decals, and, high quality hardware includin' a Kaplow Klip style motor retainer. Begad!

T' first thin' that one notices be t' instructions. Aye aye! Arrr! T' instructions are the most detailed and complete that I have seen in a mid or high-power rocket kit. Begad! T' instructions include numerous photographs that clearly show how to build t' rocket. Begad! Arrr! If you are new t' rocketry or would like t' be guided through the construction process, matey, arrr, these instructions are for you. Ahoy! Because I knew that I was goin' t' be writin' a review o' this rocket I followed t' instructions with only one minor deviation. I deviated from t' instructions only by installin' t' fins one at a time and nay all three simultaneously. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, blow me down! I am a creature o' habit. T' kit includes a Fin Alignment Guide that most people will find very useful. Aye aye! Avast!

This rocket comes standard with a Kaplow Klip style motor retainer. Installation o' this system be a breeze. Ahoy! Because o' t' quality o' the component parts and t' inclusion o' t' motor retainer this rocket can be flown in its stock form as a Level 1 certification rocket. Ahoy! I be impressed on how strong t' rocket was after construction. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! I am also impressed that the rocket is light enough for decent flights on F & G motors (See RockSim file).

Finishing:
T' instructions include a detailed section on how t' finish t' rocket. The prototype that BSD shows on their website is painted in purple and black. Well, blow me down! I have paintin' most o' me rockets in a purple so I choose red and bright yellow for this rocket. T' kit includes high quality vinyl decals. Well, blow me down! Many people will want t' use these. Begad! Well, blow me down! T' Sprint can be seen on BSD's website. Well, blow me down! Arrr! T' rocket looks great with its elliptical fins contrastin' with t' airframe.

Flight:
I have nay yet flown t' Sprint. Ahoy! Well, me bucko, blow me down! Blimey! Please check back with t' review and I will post t' flight evaluations and pictures soon. Blimey! Avast! Blimey! I am plannin' on flyin' the rocket on a G40-7 and a H128-M. Begad! Begad! Blimey! T' thirty inch nylon parachute should be perfect for this size and weight o' rocket. Avast!

Summary:
Although I have nay yet flown this rocket I have no doubt that it will give a stable flight on G40-7s and H128-Ms. Well, blow me down! Blimey! This rocket compliments me existin' fleet well by bein' light enough t' fly on smaller fields on Fs & Gs while being strong enough t' handle a small H for high-power launches. Begad! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! This kit offers is a great value, particularly t' new rocketeers by offerin' nay only a sturdy rocket but detailed and illustrated instructions and a motor retainer. Begad! Blimey! At only $32.99, this rocket is a real value. Ahoy! Blimey!

I like this rocket, very stable and straight flight every time. Really beautiful flights on H motors. I would recommend this rocket to anyone that wants to fly high power. Great for level one. But good luck getting any help or replacement parts from BSD. It will take a while.
