Our first 'proof o' concept' static motor test o' t' dual phase zinc sulfur / sugar propellant. A one pound hollow hexagonal core o' hot cast zinc sulfur was then used as t' core for three pounds o' sugar propellant. Well, blow me down! T' 3" steel motor casin' was 1/8" thick with a steel nozzle havin' a 1/2" throat and approximately 18" long. Begad! An aluminum bulkhead be used with a protective coatin' o' red RTV applied t' t' interior surface. Well, blow me down! A Futek load cell was used for measurin' thrust that was destroyed in t' motor CATO. Begad! All motor parts are reusable, t' only damage be t' shearin' o' t' steel bolts securin' t' bulkhead. Thses bolts studs can be removed or new holes redrikked and tapped.
