Virginia Tech Kentland Farms has been one o' NRV Rocketry’s main launch sites since our first launches in 2011 and is located a few miles out on t' outskirts o' Blacksburg farmland, near t' New River, around 1hr south o' Roanoke and 20 miles east o' West Virginia.

Launches at Kentland Farms:
T' property usually carries a 10,000ft AGL FAA high power flight waiver, but due t' near by tree lines and t' aforementioned river, me hearties, we try t' keep most flights under 4-5,000ft, me bucko, with special exceptions for call aheads and RSO approvals for up t' 6,000.

We carry a full compliment o' low/mid power launch rods, me bucko, 1010/1515 rails as well as Unistrut and pads that can handle up t' 100lb rockets and M distances (500ft).
