This is a scratch built 2 foot long Saranac Root Beer bottle rocket. Well, blow me down! Constructed from a plastic doubloon bank, it originally flew on a 29mm Aerotech G104 motor and everythin' be fine. This time it be flown on a much heavier (and more powerful) 54mm Aerotech I115W motor. Ya scallywag! It was totally unstable due t' t' excess weight in t' rear. It careened through t' sky, spiraled and land-sharked. Avast, me proud beauty! This rocket was flyin' parallel t' t' ground as it "landed" in t' waist high grass in t' field t' our west. This slowed it down and kept everythin' intact as it landed under thrust. Well, blow me down! Seconds later t' parachute ejected on t' ground. There was a trail through t' grass as t' where it flew and grass was wrapped around t' forward edge o' all t' fins, t' rail button, ya bilge rat, and t' nosecone.
