Launched at t' monthly TTRA launch in t' Varn ranch in Plant City FL. Aye aye! "Airstart 1" is a scratch-built two stage rocket that has a 2.5" dia. Well, blow me down! upper stage and 3" dia. Well, blow me down! booster stage. Avast, me proud beauty! T' upper stage's fin/motor section rests in t' four 6" deep slots in t' top o' t' booster section. Aerotech H250-6 booster motor and H220 upper stage motor. Perfectflite timer for stagin' and a Perfectflite altimeter for drogue and main chute deployments. Successful second flight o' this rocket, although t' increased pressure from t' H220 ignition damaged t' cradle section o' t' booster (you can see one o' t' pieces o' t' cradle breakin' away in two o' t' vidcaps at t' end o' t' video), as well as a fin on t' upper stage. Flight went straight as an arrow t' 2256 feet, ya bilge rat, with successful recovery o' t' camcorder section, upper stage rocket section and booster section, me hearties, all on their separate parachutes sewn by Phylachutes. Arrr! I'll re-do t' booster cradle section usin' Blue Tube this time, me hearties, which should handle t' upper motor ignition pressure much better.
