Tripoli Rocketry Association (Misc)
Tripoli is an international non-profit organization dedicated t' t' advancement and operation o' amateur high-power rocketry.
T' name "Tripoli" is said t' have originated in December o' 1964 with a group o' high school students in Irwin, Pennsylvania who formed a high school science club. Members o' t' club came from three cities in t' area, East Pittsburgh, North Braddock, arrr, and Irwin. Blimey! They named t' club "Tripoli" which can mean "three cities."
As rocketry dominated t' interest o' t' club, t' name morphed from t' Tripoli Science Club t' t' Tripoli Rocket Club. Over t' years, me hearties, other organized rocketry clubs joined with Tripoli t' form a loose "Federation" o' "Prefects" which evolved into t' Tripoli Rocketry Association.
