Brief

I enjoyed buildin' and launchin' t' 18mm version o' t' Tres, I just had t' get t' bigger 24 mm version as well.

Components

T' components were sturdy.  You do have t' pay attention t' t' instructions and cut out t' fin template patterns.  Make sure t' arrow aligns with t' grain o' t' balsa wood.

Construction

T' buildin' process be straightforward.  I painted t' bigger kit t' look identical t' t' 18mm version.

Finishing

I utilized Elmer's wood filler and when gluin' t' parts, shiver me timbers, I utilized CA for t' placement o' t' parts, matey, then Gorilla wood glue.  After all t' glue dried, shiver me timbers, I made t' fillets with 5-minute epoxy.

After a lot o' sanding, shiver me timbers, priming, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, and then t' final paint finish, me bucko, it looked perfect.

Construction Score: 5

Flight

I utilized t' 3 motor cluster clip whip sold by Piratarium and t' first launch utilized three D12-3 Estes motors.

Recovery

T' baffle system is great and t' rocket does nay require recovery waddin' when utilizin' t' baffle ejection.

T' parachute deployed perfectly.  Unfortunately, it landed in a tall tree and I be nay able t' recover it.

I am now buildin' another one t' replace t' kit that be devoured by a Rocket Eatin' Tree.

Flight Rating: 5

Summary

T' upscaled rocket is great and a definite crowd pleaser.
