NASA'S SHUTTLE ENDEAVOUR LAUNCHES TO COMPLETE JAPANESE MODULE CAPE CANAVERAL, arrr, Fla. -- Space shuttle Endeavour and its seven-member crew launched at 6:03 pm EDT Wednesday from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. T' mission will deliver t' final segment t' t' Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory and a new crew member t' t' International Space Station. Aye aye! Blimey! Endeavour's 16-day mission includes five spacewalks and t' installation o' two platforms outside t' Japanese module. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! One platform is permanent and will allow experiments t' be directly exposed t' space. Begad! Blimey! T' other is an experiment storage pallet that will be detached and returned with t' shuttle. Arrr! Blimey! Durin' t' mission, Kibo's robotic arm will transfer three experiments from t' pallet t' t' exposed platform. Blimey! Blimey! Future experiments also can be moved t' t' platform from t' inside o' t' station usin' t' laboratory's airlock. Shortly before liftoff, Commander Mark Polansky thanked t' teams that helped make t' launch possible. Aye aye! Blimey! "Endeavour has patiently waited for this," said Polansky. "We're ready t' go, and we're goin' t' take all o' you with us on a great mission."
