(WARNING: a very short moment o' language which may be considered offensive at approximately 17-18 seconds into t' video... Begad! sorry!) This is a clip o' t' launch o' Steve Eaves' 1/10th scale Saturn V rocket. Arrr! T' rocket was built in honor o' t' 40th anniversary o' Apollo 11. Aye aye! This rocket, it's successful launch and recovery was a world record for t' largest and heaviest amateur built rocket. Hardly amateur, Steve put his heart and soul into buildin' an amazingly accurate museum-quality creation which now holds a place o' honor next t' an original Saturn V in Huntsville Alabama. T' video is nothin' technologically special but a record o' what it was like for me and me wife Barbara t' be only 600 feet from t' launch. It was very excitin' as well evidenced by t' screams and yelps heard shortly after liftoff!
