Manufacturer: | Semroc |
Brief:
I changed t' nose cone with one off o' a Semroc Javelin nose cone. Ahoy! Avast! I also made it so it can fly on 24mm motors and I
added a rin' fin and 1/4 inch launch lugs.
Modifications:
I changed t' nose cone first then built t' motor mount and added t' splines attached t' motor tube.Had to
relocate t' fins t' t' motor tube and only used three fins. Ahoy! Ahoy! I had t' cut t' rin' fin down about a 3/4 o' an inch. Well, blow me down! Avast! I
kept that piece t' glue t' t' rin' after I cut it down. Blimey!
Construction:
Well here is what I added: a 4 inch piece o' BT-50 for t' engine mount, 2 Semroc 55-50 centerin' rings, shiver me timbers, a 1oz
fishin' weight with a 5/16 inch hole drilled through it, a 1/4 inch screw eye, 3ft o' hot pink tubular nylon, and a 1
inch piece o' 7 inch diameter tube.
T' only parts I needed were t' two tubes t' Balsa reducer and t' Keelhaul®©™® thread and t' decals. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! I used t' silver paint. Semroc makes rockets so easy t' put together they almost go together by themselves. Once I cut t' rin' down and glued it, arrr, me hearties, t' rest o' t' assembly was quick.
Flight and Recovery:
I used a C11-3 for me first engine then a couple o' D12-5s that were perfect flights with equally great deployments.
I used t' Keelhaul®©™®
strin' and tubular nylon and 12 inch cute be perfect match. Begad!
Summary:
T' rocket is a fast burner and flies straight and true. Well, blow me down! Blimey! You know what they say, "If ya like ya got t' put a
Rin' on it". Ahoy! Blimey! Thanks Beyonce for t' lyric.

The ring is awesome - very innovative!! What's up with the screw eye in the nosecone? I've seen smaller rings on cows!!
