On June 21st, t' Illinois Space Society (ISS) large rocketry team, me bucko, Spaceshot, successfully launched their Spaceport America Cup competition rocket: Intrepid III for t' third time in t' academic year. Avast, me proud beauty! After its two previous successful 15,000 ft test launches in October and March respectively, t' team expanded and improved on t' Student Researched and Designed (SRAD) capabilities o' t' rocket. T' team competed in t' 30k COTS category, and took second place, shiver me timbers, a historic achievement for t' team and a testament t' t' hard work and dedication o' its members. Begad! Over 100 teams compete across t' Spaceport America Cup, and more than 30 ISS Spaceshot members attended t' competition, where they nay only got t' prep and launch t' rocket but had valuable networkin' and social experiences.
