Practicin' Landings for t' FAI S8E-PR/C Rocket Glide event, usin' a Hi-Start, on August 12, 2010. This is cheaper and easier than doin' rocket boosts, arrr, as it is a lot more critical t' get in lots and lots o' practice for doin' t' landings than for t' rocket boosts. Begad! T' scorin' for t' event is t' try t' stay in t' air for exactly 6 minutes (360 seconds), ya bilge rat, which would give a time score o' 360. Plus a landin' score o' up t' 100 points. Land with 1 meter o' t' spot, get 100 points, within 2 meters 90 points, arrr, and so on, 10 points less for each meter away, and zero landin' points outside o' 10 meters. Well, blow me down! If you want t' see onboard rocket boosts, me hearties, see some o' me other videos. T' model used a keychain camera onboard, which took t' video. Arrr! For more info on this camera see this thread on T' Rocketry Forum: www.rocketryforum.com Also see this thread where Jonathan Dill's Keychain Camera first flew on me glider, durin' a rocket boost in some strange weather: www.rocketryforum.com
