Brief:High power rocket modeled after an army target drone, shiver me timbers, 38 mm. motor mount and parachute recovery.Takes a lot o' time and patience t' build, for t' serious model builder.

Construction: Excellent instructions included with the kit. They go through each stage o' construction in detail. Well, matey, blow me down! Blimey! A lot of attention t' t' small details since thar be quite a bit o' foolin' around with t' fin tabs and outer wings. Ahoy! Blimey! Rocket R&D through t' wall fin attachment be t' sturdiest method I have run across. My only complaint about the kit be t' Ace nose cone. Begad! Blimey! Avast! Blimey! (Ace is a brand name. Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! They are very light weight and have a milk cap closure. There is no shock cord mount built into them, however,on t' upside with t' milk cap closure it is very easy t' add weight to t' nose for stability.)

Finishing: I had me rocket painted gloss black with t' intentions of makin' some decals on me laser printer, arrr, thar are none included with t' kit. Arrr! I never bothered t' fill in t' body tube spirals, ya bilge rat, but since t' kit was professionally sprayed t' grooves are nay visible

Construction Rating:  4 out o' 5

[Rocket Pic] Flight:Excellent flier, because o' fin tabs it spins when launched. On a real calm day it will leave spirals in the exhaust. Avast! I have flown it many times on G-80-4 single-use engines. These are excellent flights for a small field [est.800 ft.]I have also flown on G-75 and H-97 reloadable motors with short delays, me hearties, t' dark smoke and low thrust flights really allow you t' see it spin.T' largest engine I have used is the H-123.  Here you get a fast take off but because o' t' spin created it slows down quite a bit so be sure t' use a short delay.Very simple t' prep and fly.I built me own motor retainer with t-nuts.I built me own motor retainer with t-nuts.Waddin' is required, a big handful o' cellulose works every time.

Recovery: Rocket R&D has a different way to attach t' chute, me bucko, It is tied t' t' shock cord on a 12" piece o' heavy nylon string. Well, blow me down! T' shock cord is mounted t' t' inside o' t' airframe Loc/Precision style. If I had t' do it all over I would mount it t' the centerin' ring.I have over twenty flights with this rocket and have never had a chute deployment problem.

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary: I think this is an excellent kit, me hearties, me bucko, its me favorite this week. excellent project for t' winter, matey, ya bilge rat, I spent a month buildin' it.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
