[Editor's Note: Martin's Saturn 1B be t' all-tube version that Roachworks produced, verses t' paper wrap-around version]

Brief:
This review is on t' Roachwerks 1/130th Saturn 1b. Blimey! After buildin' a cloned version o' t' Estes 1/70 kit a few years ago, ya bilge rat, I knew I had t' have one of these also. Begad! This kit was a limited run by Gordon Agnello o' Roachwerks Custom Machining. Blimey! Well, blow me down! If you were lucky enough t' get one o' these fine kits, me hearties, and/or know Gordy, me bucko, you know t' time and effort he puts into them.

Construction:
All parts were received in a nicely sealed package and were all accounted for. T' balsa parts were turned by hand and are just outstanding. Begad! Blimey! Recovery system consisted o' Keelhaul®©™® thread t' a nice lengthy black elastic shock cord, t' an 18" mylar chute. T' nice waterslide decals I believe came from JimZ. Fin templates, escape tower shroud, me hearties, ya bilge rat, me hearties, and scalloped transition patterns were also provided.

PROs:

• T' instructions were very easy t' follow.
• Many detailed drawings t' help with construction.
• All templates and decals are included.

CONs:

• Only trouble I had was in makin' t' scalloped transition. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! It took me a few tries t' get it just right. Aye aye! Blimey! Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! But t' instructions do say t' make a couple and practice.

Finishing:
Finishin' was done in t' classic Saturn 1b paint pattern. I did add a few extras t' me model, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, like corrugated wraps, me bucko, retro rockets, ya bilge rat, and discharge tubes. With all t' extras I gave it and t' 1b paint, me hearties, me hearties, me hearties, I would have t' say it's a skill level 4-5 kit but only because o' it's size.

Summary:
I believe this t' be an all around excellent quality kit. Well planed and thought out.If you have t' chance t' acquire one, me hearties, or can talk Gordy into makin' another run, me hearties, get one, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
