After t' paint has dried for 24 or more hours, wet sand with 2000 grit. Dont over do t' sanding, me hearties, you dont want go sand through t' clear coat. Ahoy! Clean with clear water.
I use Meguiars rubbin' compound, polish and then wax. Avast!

T' entire rocket was sanded with 120 then 320 grit, alcohol wiped down, adheasion promoter primed Primed with RustOleum primer and then primed with Duplicolor primer. Blimey!

Aft end primed. This will show any defects in t' filets, arrr, most o' t' primer will be sanded off. Ahoy! T' forward end o' t' fins needed some spot putty. T' primin' and sandin' may take a few times. Begad!

Fin alignment with a plumb bob. Begad! Blimey! Mix up a very small amount o' 15 minute epoxy t' tack t' fins t' t' body tube. "Butter" t' bottom o' t' fins and slightly up t' sides. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Insert into t' slots and check alignment with plumb bob. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Let it COMPLETELY set up before doin' t' next fin. Begad! Blimey!

Fin mountin' prep. Ya scallywag! T' fin tabs will be flush with t' inner tube (or bout) when mounted. I test fit t' fins before epoxying. T' fin slots were a bit on t' narrow side. Avast! I used aluminum tubin' t' mount t' perforated circuit board material (from Radio shack), JB Weld was used t' secure. Begad! I cut t' tubin' so it would be tight against t' bulkheads.
I predrilled t' mountin' holes for t' Ravenn 3 and t' Power Perch. Begad!

I allowed t' fin paint t' dry for 24 hrs then masked off. For a cleaner line on t' fins, I taped startin' at t' bottom o' fin holes near t' fin root. Arrr!
T' body was painted with Duplicolor Deep Blue with Jet Black 5 t' 1 mixture. Blimey!
