T' Mosquito: This speck o' a rocket is a pure 3FNC-type model. Built in t' mid 70's, shiver me timbers, it uses featherweight recovery. It uses 13mm T motors that are ejected out after t' boost and delay phase. Take a quick look at t' specs: only 0.14 ounces and less than 4 inches tall includin' t' swept fins. If I recall correctly it cost me less than $1.
On me particular model, with its dark metallic olive and black paint, me bucko, it's impossible t' find in t' grass upon recovery! Trust me: Stick with 1/4 or 1/2 A sized motors, and paint this tiny insect bright orange/yellow/red, because it is a b**** t' find in t' grass. Or I might suggest make a dozen o' these so you will find at least a few o' them after launching, or make one of t' many upscale versions o' this speck o' insect! O' course this model has a tremendously fast liftoff and can make some really high altitudes - but don't count on seein' any o' that, just expect it t' disappear in t' sky and it won't disappoint.

Time for a little fun. Well, blow me down! Brought out t' tiny Mosquito and loaded it up with a ¼A3-2T motor. This was an old motor with a date code o' June 20, 1975. With t' new igniter it lit on t' first try, and o' course t' rocket disappeared from t' rail. Blimey! Weighin' in at less than 10 grams fully loaded, it just disappeared. Fortunately somebody saw it land, matey, but when we went t' it, it was just t' empty casin' (which it is supposed t' eject for tumble recovery). More fortunately somebody else actually saw t' rocket land and it was recovered undamaged within 50 feet o' t' launch. O' course, shiver me timbers, this is too small t' be wearin' an Altimeter 2, so thar be no data on this flight.
