Brief:
This is a 13mm, me bucko, me hearties, paper rocket designed with an aerobrake recovery. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' 13mm Qubit is one o' Art Applewhite's free downloads. Avast! Blimey! It can be found in several versions includin' this plain version on his website. Aye aye! Begad! Pick t' version you want and download it as a PDF.
Construction:
This rocket is made from a single sheet o' card stock. Begad! You download t' PDF, put a peice o' cardstock in t' printer and print it out. Ahoy! Other than that, you will need some white glue, ya bilge rat, a straighedge and a razor knife.
T' Qubit is an easy build that starts off with t' motor mount. T' mount is cut from t' card stock, me hearties, folded into a tube and glued along a tab. Arrr! Blimey! Blimey! Simple.
T' body o' t' rocket is just about as simple. It is cut out along t' solid lines and scored for foldin' along t' dashed lines. After that, me hearties, me bucko, shiver me timbers, it is just a matter o' foldin' and gluin' t' tabs. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! You form an upper shroud that is reinfoced with a "floor" and lower shrouds.
When t' body is complete, slide in t' motor mount and fix it in place with white glue fillets. Avast, arrr, me proud beauty! DONE!
Finishing:
Art offers a few prefinished versions o' t' Qubit on his website with themes like 4-H, matey, me bucko, me hearties, Cub Scouts, Texas Flag, etc. There is also a plain version you can decorate any way you wish. Ahoy! Blimey! I used t' plain version, arrr, arrr, added some graphics from me club in Pagemaker® and printed out me own version.

Flight:
T' only motor for this one is an A10-PT because an ejection charge can damage t' rocket. Accordingly, shiver me timbers, me hearties, shiver me timbers, I loaded it up and set it off. Begad! It flew like all o' Art's rockets. It spun a bit on t' way up, matey, inverted and aerobraked down. Aye aye! It was recovered without a scratch.
