Aerospace Speciality Products (ASP) makes a couple o' different V2 Kits. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! This be t' 1/40th scale kit, me hearties, with t' 24mm motor mount. Ahoy! Avast, me proud beauty! T' kit builds into a rocket that is 359mm long and 42mmm in diameter. Recommended engines include D12-5, ya bilge rat, E15-7 & E30-7, ya bilge rat, matey, though t' documentation states that it can be flown on B & C motors with a suitable adapter.

T' kit contains t' followin' parts:

Construction/Finishin' Techiniques:
T' engine and body tubes are good quality cardboard with a glassine finish. T' body tube has very little trace o' a spiral. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! T' basswood stock is o' good quality, but is nay pre-marked, me hearties, a template bein' provided for cuttin' out t' fins and servo pods. Arrr! T' nose cone has a prefitted eye hook, arrr, is pre-weighted, and is pretty heavy! T' nose cone and boattail are well shaped and O.D. is slightly oversized compared t' t' body tube, which is good, shiver me timbers, because they need sealin' and sandin' if a good finish is required. Begad! T' shock cord doesn't seem long enough, matey, given t' weight o' t' nose cone. Enough shroud line is provided t' run all t' way t' t' center o' t' 'chute, shiver me timbers, t' mylar tape bein' provided t' fix them in place. Begad! Begad! T' snap swivel looks a little light, shiver me timbers, with t' 'snap' itself bein' a little flimsy, me bucko, compared t' t' weight o' t' nose cone.

T' instructions are good, matey, with very clear descriptions o' each step, listin' t' parts and tools required and t' operation t' be performed. Aye aye! Blimey! Diagrams are provided where required. They are particularly good when describin' t' steps needed t' produce a good finish. Begad! Blimey! Tricky details such as t' servo pods and t' turbine exhausts are also well described. Two different paint schemes are included in t' instructions. No decals are supplied. Avast! References are given for further research.

This isn't a beginners kit. T' fins and servo pods are nay simple shapes t' cut out from balsa, me bucko, and t' slots in t' fins t' mount t' servo pods, me hearties, me bucko, arrr, trickier still. Aye aye! Ahoy! You are expected t' shape t' turbine exhausts from t' basswood stock, matey, me hearties, ya bilge rat, although this is a detail that could be omitted if necessary.
