A Fourteen Liter Bottle Rocket

After seein' several small rockets fly out o' sight, I wanted a rocket that would spend more time where I could see it. Arrr! I wanted somethin' large, me hearties, ya bilge rat, so it would be highly visible, me hearties, but with low enough power for a slow, matey, arrr, majestic lift-off. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Body tubes and nose cones get expensive rather smartly when you go beyond a BT-80, me hearties, me bucko, shiver me timbers, so I looked for a cheaper alternative. I thought o' usin' a 2- liter pop bottle for a body tube, ya bilge rat, and realized it would also make a neat boat-tail. Well, blow me down! I was lucky enough t' have a friend who found an old 2- liter in his basement with a rounded bottom-- t' kind that sat in a plastic cup for stability. Arrr! Blimey! This allowed me t' give me rocket a rounded, torpedo-like nose. Begad! Ya scallywag! Blimey!

T' newer style bottles with 5-lobed bottoms will work, too, shiver me timbers, you'll just have an alien-lookin' 5-lobed nose cone. Well, blow me down! Ya scallywag!
