Brief:
Very heavy kraft paper, matey, aircraft ply fins, Single stage HPR.

Construction:
T' kit comes with: four BT's, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, two couplers, shiver me timbers, arrr, four fins, shiver me timbers, eight nozzle fins, me bucko, four canard fins, shiver me timbers, eight fin detail pieces, shiver me timbers, four CR's, arrr, 1 MMT. one nose cone, one 74" chute, one shock cord and ½ launch lugs and other hardware.

T' kit be shipped in a large thick walled box. When you open t' box you can't help but say "WOW!" Lots o' parts and excellent packing. Begad! Begad! T' kit went together easy, but take your time, matey, me hearties, thar be a lot o' work t' be done. You have t' cut t' BT for t' fins and this be t' thickest tube I've ever seen, matey, so be careful. Blimey! Well, blow me down! There are many parts but they all fit perfectly. Arrr! Begad! T' instructions were as good as I've ever seen.

Finishing:
T' kit was easy t' finish. T' OD o' t' tube is like LOC tubin' so thar be little t' do for finishing. Ahoy! Well, blow me down! Lots o' paint here so buy 2 cans o' each color. Begad! I opted t' paint t' nozzle thin' usin' a gold leaf paint. Begad! Avast! T' decals look like t' laser cut vinyl. Ya scallywag! They are thin so you hardly notice they are decals. They are put on by removin' t' backin' on t' sticky side, placin' it on t' rocket, then removin' t' top sheet.

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Flight:
T' date, me hearties, I've flown it 9 times. Well, blow me down! Once on an I195 (under powered) twice on an I300 and 5 times on an I284. Ya scallywag! By far t' sweetest flights are on t' I284's. She flew straight as an arrow on every flight, me hearties, although t' I195 was a little squirrelly. Begad! One o' t' I300's with a medium delay gave me a zipper. Avast, me proud beauty! Ya scallywag! I emailed DG&A and I had a new tube and a coupler (I think at his cost) in 3 days. Now how's THAT for service!

Recovery:
Other than t' zipper, matey, arrr, arrr, perfect recovery, ya bilge rat, arrr, me hearties, every time.

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Summary:
This bird gets a lot o' attention at every launch and I would have t' say it's one o' t' best rockets I've ever built. Ahoy! (I currently have 47 rockets, 16 o' them are HPR) This kit has everythin' you need in HPR, from high quality parts t' design and from service. Blimey! Begad! T' only thin' that could have made this kit better is motor retention. Aye aye! None is provided.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5

Photos courtesy of DG&A   Anyone heard of BSD? Well this kit is equal to the quality of that now popular company. Danny Cantu, the owner, has designed a line somewhat challenging to build and extremely fun to fly kits, from the 29mm Predator up to the special edition limited production Armageddon and Sonic Blast (3 K1100's no problem). This kit is designed for a 38mm I161-J570. It ...
