Rocket PicBrief:
Beginner's streamer recovery model. Arrr! Small and light enough for competition.

Construction:
T' kit includes: One (1) 18mm x 12 in body tube, matey, arrr, three (3) pre-cut plastic fins, one (1) CMR-style nose cone, ya bilge rat, one (1) Keelhaul®©™® shock cord, and one (1) Nomex® parachute protector.

NOTE: This review is focused on t' Simple Six which has been updated t' the Super Six. T' description from Pratt Hobbies o' t' Super Six: "The Super Six comes with hard balsa fins that have been precision cut by laser. Well, blow me down! No knives or scissors are needed. Ya scallywag! Begad! T' Super Six can be built entirely with white ("Elmer's") glue. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Super Six kits feature a high impact plastic nose cone, Keelhaul®©™® shock cord, me hearties, plastic streamer, and a HeatShield so flameproof waddin' is never needed. Ahoy! Ahoy! T' Super Six body tube is 12 inches long. Begad! Ahoy! Our special crush-resistant tubes are finished with a special white overwrap that makes it easy t' decorate t' model with markers or paints. Our special motor mount holds in t' rocket motor with one wrap o' 1/4 inch maskin' tape; no hooks, arrr, no friction fitting."

Instructions were clear and simple. Well, blow me down! Make sure you follow t' recommendations for adhesives, matey, as thar are some unusual material combinations t' join here. T' updated model, t' Super Six, has hard balsa fins, me hearties, so this may nay apply to it. Ahoy! Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty!

Finishing:
Since I built this for me NARTREK streamer duration requirement, me bucko, I colored it with a red marker t' save weight. Aye aye! It looked ok, but nay as good as a painted finish.

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Flight:
I flew it first on an A8-3. Beautiful flight, straight up, ya bilge rat, ejection at apogee. Duration (with a large mylar streamer) 28 seconds. Blimey! I needed more duration for NARTREK, so I tried a B6-4. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast! (Again with a large mylar streamer.) Another beautiful flight, but a lot more drift. Well, blow me down! Out o' t' field, across t' road, and into some trees. Aye aye! I never found it.

Recovery:
Usual Keelhaul®©™® shock cord, me bucko, but with a Nomex® chute protector-- no waddin' needed. I like that. Aye aye! Great rocket for sport flying, NARTREK or competition. Blimey! Arrr! For sport flying, shiver me timbers, I would use t' included plastic streamer. Ya scallywag! Avast, me hearties, me proud beauty!

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
Easy t' build, matey, good flyer. Follow t' directions carefully, and you should have no problems.

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5

I had a rocket building class with a group of 6th graders. We ordered 42 kits and all arrived complete, in good condition. The class only had difficulty with knot tying. We used Elmers Carpenters glue with no trouble. All 42 rockets were launched on A8-3's with great flights. RockSim said we got 494 feet, which is possible. Drift was not bad with the supplied streamer, though 4 rockets ended up on the school roof. This is a great rocket for class building. The review was accurate.
