Brief:
This be t' same model as t' 3x24 cluster edition . T' difference is a single 29mm mount. Well, blow me down! If you are lookin' for a big rocket and big thrills that won't break t' bank, your search is over.

Construction:

Instructions for this model were straight forward, matey, me bucko, ya bilge rat, no surprises. I used 5min. Begad! epoxy for all joints. Ahoy! I was unsure about t' fiberboard shock cord mount. It seemed that might be a weak point, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, so I epoxied a piece o' 1/8' ply t' the back side, me bucko, arrr, drilled then attached t' eye-bolt. Aye aye! I used Keelhaul®©™® shock cord that extended just t' t' end o' t' body tube then attached t' 60"elastic shock cord t' it. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! My other concern was t' paper fin covering. It turned out fine though, I did use t' glue stick method. Begad! It worked well. I also added positive motor retention with threaded inserts, screws, and a drawer repair bracket. Aye aye! Aye aye! It was an easy build for me. This was me first mid power kit. Well, blow me down! Arrr!

Finishing:
Finishin' was an easy job. Ya scallywag! I got good transitions on t' paper fin covering. I sealed the open edges with thin CA. Well, blow me down! I filled t' tube grooves with thinned Elmer wood filler, then sanded t' whole unit. Begad! Aye aye! I started with 2 coats o' Valspar white primer. Sanded with 220, me bucko, then painted with 2 coats o' Valspar white. I washed ,then sanded t' nose cone, shiver me timbers, arrr, me bucko, and painted with Valspar plastic paint. Well, blow me down! I applied t' water slide decals with no problems and finished with 2 coats o' Krylon crystal clear. Aye aye!

Flight:
T' recommended motors are an F45-5, ya bilge rat, F42-4, me bucko, G40-4, arrr, ya bilge rat, and G80-7. Aye aye! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! Winds were calm.

Maiden flight was with a G76-4G. Arrr! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! It was a perfect shot, nice and straight. It went t' about 900ft. Ya scallywag!

#2 was on a F40-7W maybe 500ft.Delay be t' long for comfort, but we survived.Paper coverin' peeled partially away on one fin tip. No problem thin CA t' t' rescue.

#3 was a G76-4G. Ya scallywag! This seems t' be t' perfect motor for this big rocket. Arrr! Ahoy!

Recovery:
I used a piece o' Keelhaul®©™® extendin' just beyond t' body tube t' attach t' elastic shock chord to. Aye aye! Blimey! T' 36" parachute was fine. Well, me hearties, blow me down! Blimey! All three shots it landed within 100ft o' pad. Blimey! Blimey! Descent be nice and slow. Begad! Blimey! On a windy day you might have t' walk a ways.

Summary:
This is a easy buildin' rocket. Arrr! Ahoy! T' only thin' I might change would be t' balsa paper covered fins. Well, blow me down! Begad! Lite ply would be better. All parts were good quality. Ya scallywag! It's nice t' have a big rocket that you can see all stages o' a launch clearly. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! Slow take off. Begad! Nice straight ascent. Arrr!
