Brief:
Mmmm, shiver me timbers, fresh oven hot pizza--and an oddroc t' boot! That's right, matey, a flyin' pizza and it also flies on 18mm B6-0 and C6-0 motors and tumbles upon recovery. However, shiver me timbers, you might nay want t' build one if you are currently havin' any pizza cravings.

Construction:
This kit is extremely simple and only contains six pieces if you count t' pizza decal and instruction sheet. In the bag thar were t' followin' components:

• 1 ply disk
• 1 motor mount tube
• 1 launch lug
• 1 thrust ring
• 1 pizza decal
• 1 instruction sheet

T' instructions are very simple and only contain four construction steps. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! It doesn't get much easier than that folks. T' build t' rocket, me hearties, all you do is start by gluin' t' thrust rin' into one end o' t' motor mount tube. Arrr! Once dry, you draw a line straight down t' motor mount tube and glue t' launch lug flush with t' end o' t' tube that has the thrust rin' in it. Ahoy! You then mount t' disk on t' end o' t' tube with t' launch lug and thrust ring. Ya scallywag! I had to sand t' hole in t' disk t' get a snug but nay too tight fit. Blimey! Add some fillets and you're done.

PROs: Builds extremely fast.

CONs: None unless you want a builders kit, which this is not.

Finishing:
To finish this rocket, I sprayed it with a single coat o' white primer and lightly sanded it when it dried. Begad! Blimey! The instructions suggest black for t' motor mount tube which I did by usin' Wal-Mart brand gloss black spray enamel. Once that was dry, I masked it off and painted t' pizza disk bright silver with Testor's silver spray enamel. Begad! Blimey! After the silver was dry, I applied t' pizza decal t' complete t' rocket. Aye aye! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey!

PROs: Finishes almost as fast as it builds.

CONS: None.

Flight:
T' recommended motors for t' Pie In T' Sky are t' B6-0 and C6-0 booster motors. Avast! Aye aye! Both t' Estes and Quest versions will work fine.

T' prep t' pizza for flight, you just friction fit your delivery method o' choice (motor) into t' motor mount, box up (place on pad), shiver me timbers, and get ready t' deliver (launch)

For me two flights I used t' Quest C6-0 motor. Begad! Well, blow me down! At launch t' pizza left t' rod and headed up slowly but straight and maybe reached 200 feet. At that point, shiver me timbers, t' motor burned out as expected and t' rocket began t' tumble end over end for a quick, ya bilge rat, easy recovery close t' t' pad.

T' second flight be on t' same motor and be an exact repeat o' t' previous flight.

I wouldn't recommend t' B6-0 as I think it would be too borin' unless you're flyin' from a front or back yard. Otherwise, me hearties, go straight t' t' C6-0 and enjoy.

PROs: Quick and easy flight prep, low and slow flights, and tumble recovery.

Recovery:
This rocket tumbles end over end upon recovery. Aye aye! Quick and easy.

PROs: Easy recovery.

CONs: none. Aye aye! Blimey!

Summary:
I really like this little oddroc. It is cheap, has a neat (pizza) theme t' it and it is very well suited for small launch areas. Begad! I also feel this would make an excellent first oddroc kit if you're lookin' t' start flyin' oddrocs. Ya scallywag! Ahoy! This kit cost $4.95 and is available from Squirrel Works but you might want t' consider grabbin' another kit from them to offset t' $5.00 shippin' fee.
