Brief:
For this bird I used t' parts from an Estes Baby Bertha and a Quest Full Moon t' come up with somethin' just a bit
different.
Construction:
For this build I used t' Baby Bertha's airframe as is out o' t' package but used t' Full Moon's three fins. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! For
the booster, I cut t' Full Moon's airframe t' t' same length as t' root o' t' Baby Bertha's fins, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, arrr, usin' all four.
T' motor mounts were assembled as per basic kit instructions. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Ya scallywag! Blimey! I cut a section o' t' left over Full Moon airframe to
use as a stagin' coupler glued into t' top o' t' booster. Ahoy! Blimey! I used t' included shock cord and parachute from one kit
for recovery. Aye aye! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey! I did nay use a motor hook on either t' sustainer or t' booster preferrin' t' friction fit t' motors.
I did use t' engine blocks.
Finishing:
I used one coat o' sandin' sealer on t' balsa fins and finished up usin' Krylon paint.
Flight:
First flight was on a B6-0/A8-3 with breezy conditions. Aye aye! Second flight be B6-0/A8-3 and third flight on C6-0/B6-6.
Recovery:
Recovery was normal on all three flights.
